O my Magnificence

O my Magnificence;

In your beauty,

You will dip,

Inch by inch,

Till you stir

The still water

Of the canal,

This is your time,

Elegance in maturity,

Where the foot cannot pass,

Without the eye stopping,

And the mind ascending

Into ecstasy;

In winter the snows

Fall through your bare branches,

Leaving you

A haunted sight;

In spring there is the

Mild growing of the mundane,

In summer, the colour green

Melts into vision,

The Emerald is everywhere,

Too many emeralds soften the mind;

But in autumn,

You truly show your beauty,

Like Joseph of the amazing colours,

You are our priest,

Our Saint,

O my magnificence.
