I walked through the May Flowers

I walked through the May flowers

And saw a Robin Redbreast

The blossoms smelled of honey

And the crow had built its nest

The day was just forgotten

The night began to fall

And silence was in the evening

As the pines looked so tall

Young lambs danced in the sunshine

As the heather breezes blew

and purple were the mountains

I had found the peace I knew.
