THEY PLOUGHED UP THE FURZE

THEY PLOUGHED UP THE FURZE

ITS YELLOW TWEDE

AND WELCOMING WEED

THEY TOOK AWAY HIS  HOUSE AND FEED

THE LARK HAS COME BACK AGAIN

TO FIND THERE IS NO FRIEND

THEY HAVE COME A LONG LONG WAY

THERE IS A SIGN

STAY AWAY

OUR SPRING WILL COME AND GO

HOW WE HURT THEM I KNOW

THEY WILL LOOK

AND TAKE THEIR SONG AND HOUSE

FAR FAR AWAY

AND THEY WON’T BE BACK ANOTHER DAY
