SNOWDROPS EVERYWHERE

Snowdrops are everywhere

Crocus show off their colours

Daffodils are a month early

A summer fragrance invades my senses

The elders are pushing

A young bee practices on a dandelion

Buttercups on the way

Chestnuts budding

Everything is forward

A robin chants its Lenten message on a stump

To ease my concerns

I met a snail

In Deburghs wood

I knocked on its door

A head popped out

Horns at full stretch

Asking who I was

Where I was going

It took a long look at me

Winked

Took his horns in

and went back into its  house
