I LOVE IT
I love it when the leaves peel their blankets back
And blossom like new babies show their heads
Where the sun casts an eye upon the river
And turns the dull into a silver path
Where the wind bells the trees with tingle
And frost keeps a hand in everywhere
Craig’s horse full of energy just stands there
Like a ghost upon the hill then disappears
Where youth pours its heart out like the snowdrop
And vanishes with dreams when eyes alight
My hand too far to grasp the morning
In the evening I sit in the still
Pushing the dark a little further
From where the ferryman oars alone.
